No. SocietyConnect is a web application, not a native app. It runs in your browser and has ZERO access to your contacts, photos, gallery, location, or any other phone data. It's like opening a website — nothing is installed on your phone.
Never. In chat, only your flat number is displayed (e.g., A-201). Your name and phone are visible only to the society admin. Other residents cannot see any personal information.
The Super Admin (platform level) has oversight capability but every access is logged with IP address and timestamp in an immutable audit trail. We do not read chats for marketing or any commercial purpose.
We have CSS-based screenshot protection and watermarking enabled. While no web app can 100% block OS-level screenshots, our protection makes it difficult and traceable.
We use OTP-only authentication (no passwords to hack), XSS attack prevention, anti-spam rate limiting, and per-society data isolation. Each society's data is in a separate silo — breaching one society gives zero access to others.
After 3 months, the pricing is ₹25 per flat per month. For a 200-flat society, that's ₹5,000/month — less than ₹1 per resident per day. If you choose not to continue, your data is archived per our retention policy.
Of course. There's no lock-in. Admin can export member lists and notices as CSV before leaving. But most committees don't go back once they experience structured governance.
